Celebrating Black History Month – 2014

I watched an eye opening documentary on my local Chicago PBS channel Friday night which introduced me to another Black History hero. Whitney Young is often overlooked  because of the prominence of Martin Luther King but Young was a terrific advocate and trailblazer for African American economic opportunities.

PBS & Independent Lens produced a program about the man and his accomplishments and challenges. He was a moderate who produced results…a Civil Rights hero. Take a look at the trailer for the program which first aired in February, 2013. I’ll also include a link to the full documentary which runs 1:51 hours in length.

You may have noticed that the design for Dear Publisher is new. I’ve switched to Word Press and a responsive design that is mobile friendly. You will still be able to visit the archives of the Dear Publisher blog when it was hosted by Serendipity blogs. Time will tell if it will be a good change or if I’ll switch back.

It’s also time to celebrate African American romance with covers from current AA romances.
